It’s that time of year again…time to do your taxes. I have continued to do my own taxes even as they get more and more complicated due to my consulting business and rental property. I have to admit that there have been times that I almost gave in and went to an accountant…I probably should do that. But, according to my wife, I’m very hard headed. So if I insist on doing my own taxes, I should at least have a good tax reference.
Bloomberg BNA is a subsidiary of Bloomberg and provides information for professionals on legal, tax, and regulatory information. They now have an Android app called BNA Quick Tax Reference which is a tax reference guide for the years 2011-2013.
BNA gives you quick access to tax information on the go. This includes a handy tool which estimates your tax based on your taxable income. BNA Quick Tax Reference includes the following:

Honestly, as a business person, you should be using an accountant. But if you’re like me and insist on doing your own taxes, then BNA Quick Tax Reference is a nice resource to have on the go. Of course, even if you do have an accountant, you can benefit from the information presented to you in this app.
