What’s Missing from Your Growth Strategy?

Posted on September 1, 2020 by Larry

If you want to grow your business, you need to have a growth strategy. It can help you to outline where you want your business to go in the next year, five years, or even ten years. When you’re creating a growth strategy, there are many elements that you need to consider to make sure everything comes together. Expanding your business requires you to look at different areas of your company and understand what you need to grow. You might think that you have created a good growth strategy, but have you included all of the most important things? What might be missing from your growth strategy?

Good Tech Support

As your business grows, the technology that you use will need to change and grow too. If you want to have a strong growth strategy, you need to think about how your IT and tech will support that growth. You might plan to use a managed IT services provider that can grow with your business. Scalability is often one of the most important things when you’re looking for IT solutions that match your business goals. You could also use an IT consultancy service that helps you to create an IT strategy that works with your plan for growth.

Taking Your Workforce Into Account

When you’re growing your business, you likely won’t be doing it alone. When you have employees, they will be the ones helping you to carry out your business growth strategy. However, have they had any input in your growth strategy and how it’s going to be carried out? Their feedback can be invaluable when it comes to creating a growth strategy that is realistic and can actually be implemented. They are the people who will be putting the work in to help the company grow, so they should have a say in how that happens.

Your Business Strengths and Weaknesses

Knowing your business’s strengths and weaknesses is one of the most important parts of creating a growth strategy. You should understand what your business does best and the areas where you may need to improve. This will help you to make a plan that allows your business to keep developing and improving. If you want to make a growth strategy that will work for you, be aware of your weaknesses but try to focus on what your strengths are. If you spend too much time working on improving weaknesses, your growth could stall.

How Much to Invest in Your Growth

How much you should invest in the growth of your business is a tricky thing to plan for. You might not have considered how much to spend on growth, but you’ll have much more control if this is something that you think about. Plan for how much you will spend on growth, where the money will come from, and just what you will be spending it on. This means you’re committed to investing in growth, but you can keep your spending under control too.

Be sure to include all of the important things in your growth strategy. It should be a comprehensive plan to help you grow your business.

About Us

My good friend Ben started this site many years ago.  Ben said this about himself, “am a follower of Christ, a rabid computer geek, small business owner, and breaker of things. He is married way above his station in life and has three wonderful children who have made driving him insane their mission in life.”

Well back in 2019, Ben suddenly passed away from cancer and he asked me to continue the site. I like Ben, am a follower, a computer geek, a small business owner, and the father of 5 great children.

I miss Ben everyday but run this site in his honor. Thanks for visiting and enjoy!
