Ways To Get Through Christmas Positively During These Testing Times

Posted on November 3, 2020November 3, 2020 by Larry

It doesn’t matter whether you have been hiding under a rock or not over the past year or so, you still would have learned of the COVID-19 pandemic and what it has done to the planet. While a small portion of the world has profited and continued to do well during the virus outbreak, the majority of us have had to change a few things around and do our best to keep things ticking over until we finally see the back of this mess.

Christmas is nigh, and it’s going to be quite a strange one. This is a time of year that is meant for people to enjoy themselves in each other’s company, yet we won’t really be able to do that – per the restrictions and lockdown rules that have been set in certain areas. Well, that is for some of you reading this, of course. Many areas are safe, and restrictions have been happily lifted.

If you’re still within an awkward place due to the virus, then you, of course, should still be allowed to enjoy the festive period. Here are a few ways you can make it a little easier during such testing times:

Adopt The Right Mindset

The first thing you’ll have to do is get into the right frame of mind. If you view everything as bleak and that we’re never going to get through this, then you’re likely to end up heading straight into a negative situation. With a positive mindset, you can tackle any task in front of you – even if things go a little south, to begin with.

Make Sure You Have Some Money Heading Into Your Bank Account

If you’re currently self-employed and are in danger of losing work due to restrictions that might come in, then the best thing to do is to be productive. You just have to read the blog from this plumber, and they’ll tell you all about how the COVID-19 pandemic has put a spanner in the works. You can’t help what has happened, but you certainly can be responsible for what happens going forward.

Keep Yourself Safe And Away From The Virus, Of Course

This goes without saying at this point, but some people are still choosing to be reckless with their actions. If you’re going out, then make sure it’s with a mask, and you’re not attending mass gatherings. If you make sure you’re good to go ready for the holidays, then you’re going to have a much better time. Nobody will have to worry about contracting the virus.

Get Excited For The Holidays

You have lots to do leading up to Christmas, so you may as well behave as though none of this is happening while you’re stuck indoors. Be sure to put decorations out and update your dining room ready for the meal! Get everyone into the right spirit and be sure to treat the festive period as you have done for most years of your life!

About Us

My good friend Ben started this site many years ago.  Ben said this about himself, “am a follower of Christ, a rabid computer geek, small business owner, and breaker of things. He is married way above his station in life and has three wonderful children who have made driving him insane their mission in life.”

Well back in 2019, Ben suddenly passed away from cancer and he asked me to continue the site. I like Ben, am a follower, a computer geek, a small business owner, and the father of 5 great children.

I miss Ben everyday but run this site in his honor. Thanks for visiting and enjoy!
