I’m a big fan of Hootsuite and I think it’s an essential Android social media app. I personally use it to manage this site’s Twitter account, my personal account, and my consulting business accounts. The ability to share to both Twitter and Facebook (as well as Google+) from one app is very convenient and saves a lot of time. Hootsuite also features many analytics features which means that you can measure the success of your social media campaigns.
The feature I use most is the ability to schedule updates. I can set up an entire day..or week’s worth of updates in a couple of hours. This comes in handy when you will be out of touch…such as on vacation. I had a colleague who recently took a cruise and would not have internet access for several days. He scheduled his updates and every day it appeared that he was sending out updates.

Foursquare for Business
I have to admit that when I first heard of Foursquare I thought it was a trivial service that had no benefit for business owners. I have to say that I was wrong. There is huge potential in Foursquare. Foursquare for Business is an Android Social Media app that lets business owners manage their Foursquare business listings.
You first need to claim your business on Foursquare’s website. You can then manage the listing in Foursquare for Business. This social media app lets you:
- Add photo updates for your business
- Manage specials for your location
- See check-ins and learn more about those checking in
